Standing Beside Those Who Stand on the Line

"Born from loss and built on love, the Eric Marsh Foundation provides immediate and ongoing support to wildland firefighters and their families — standing beside them long after the sirens fade."

What We Provide

When a wildland firefighter is injured, when a family is grieving, or when the road ahead suddenly changes, waiting isn't an option. We step in quickly.

Emergency Aid

Immediate Financial Support

Covering immediate and vital needs — mortgage payments, groceries, travel costs, and essentials — so families can focus on healing, not bills. We step in before families have to ask.

Medical Support

Medical & Mental Health Care

Counseling, PTSD treatment, and long-term medical support for firefighters and family members navigating the aftermath of injury or loss. We fund what insurance won't cover.

Scholarships

Educational Scholarships

K–12 educational scholarships for children of fallen wildland firefighters. Education that changes a family's trajectory.

Family Care

Long-term Family Support

We don't disappear after the first few weeks. Widow's retreats, ongoing check-ins, connection to a community that understands. We've been doing this since 2014 — because family care doesn't have an expiration date.

The foundation was established in 2014 following the tragic loss of Eric Marsh and the Granite Mountain Hotshots. Its creation addressed critical gaps in support — financial assistance, emotional care, and practical aid for affected families. Operating from Prescott, Arizona, the organization now serves wildland firefighters and their families throughout the United States.

In Their Words

You saw me, in my pain and offered help where others feared to tread. I'd felt unseen and forgotten.
