EMF Sticker (Sunset Logo)

Who was Eric Marsh and the Granite Mountain Interagency Hotshot crew of Prescott, AZ?

Eric Marsh was superintendent of the 20-man hotshot crew of Prescott, AZ. Nineteen of those twenty men lost their lives while fighting the Yarnell Hill Fire, including Marsh, on June 30, 2013, at 1,647 hours.

Those lost that day are listed as: Ashcraft, Caldwell, Carter, DeFord, MacKenzie, Marsh, McKee, Misner, Norris, Parker, Percin, Jr., Rose, Steed, Thurston, Turbyfill, Warneke, Whitted, Woyjeck, and Zuppiger.

In addition to the sticker featuring all the names of those lost that day, there is also a heroic image of a hotshot crewmember at the center. On the figure’s helmet, is #19. The sleeves are decorated with the American flag and are lined at the bottom with symbolic, colorful flames.

*The Granite Mountain Interagency Hotshot crew stems from Crew 7, which Eric Marsh was also a part of; they were granted approval from the Southwest Area Coordinating Group in 2007, becoming the first of their kind in the nation.

Why support the Eric Marsh Foundation?

The Eric Marsh Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit that has donated thousands toward fire firefighters and their families.
