For the 10-Year Memorial of our GMHS Crew we added the names of all the crew members on the outside edge of the Fire Bear Coin. The hotshot silhouette on the reverse side is purple enamel with a fire red/orange ring framing the image.

This is the Fire Bear image in Eric's dream in the movie, Only The Brave.  Josh Brolin plays the part of Eric Marsh and Jennifer Connelly portrays Amanda Marsh.  Eric did, in fact, have dreams about a fire bear as depicted in the movie. 

One side of the coin is the Fire Bear with raised lettering, "Granite Mountain Interagency Hot Shot Crew" and "Yarnell Hill Fire" around the edge.  The other side is our EMF Hotshot Logo with the enamel matching the yellow flame color of the burning bear.

The coin is a nice size measuring 1 3/4" across.  Heavy, but not too heavy, it is a nice piece to carry.

We wanted to capture the Fire Bear on a challenge coin because, to us, it is a very real and personal connection to Eric and our Granite Mountain Hot Shots.
